Using up expensive fuel and breathing in exhaust emissions while sitting at traffic lights are two aspects of the job least loved by van drivers. But all that will be a thing of the past in the Doblo Cargo because Fiat Professional have fitted every Euro5 model with its clever Start&Stop device.
Quite simply, Start&Stop automatically switches off the engine each time the van stops, and then restarts it when the driver sets off again. This means a reduction in overall fuel consumtion by as much as 15%, especially in towns and cities, whilst CO2 emissions on urban journeys are reduced by up to 4%. Drivers might even get an appeciative smile from passers-by or local residents as, while the engine off, the van is completely silent.
